equine therapy

This experiential therapy uses horses as cotherapists for both discovery and teaching. A horse elicits an emotional reaction in every person and is a perfect mirror for truly seeing your own patterns of behavior – a critical step to achieving change. Meanwhile, working with horses in a herd is a gentle, yet effective, way of addressing interpersonal and familial issues. Herds help us understand how to be part of something and how to take care of each other. With the combination of these individual and relational applications, equine therapy is an excellent tool for self esteem building, focus, attention, multi-tasking, cooperation, team building and self-discovery.
